Mattresses with Bonnell springs
Mattresses with bonnell spring units are still widely used. Bonnell spring units are made from cone springs mutually connected by convolution. For mattresses we are using high quality patented steel wire with a diameter of 2.2 and 2.4 mm. Each spring is separately treated to maintain its resilience and prevent break appearance. Springs can be made in different heights so the height of the mattress can also be different. Mostly used are spring units in 14 cm. Also spring diameter and number of springs can be different. Changing the spring diameter or wire thickness we can make mattresses with various hardnesses. Bonnell spring units are progressively reacting on pressure first soft and then with increase of burden harder and harder. Advantages of mattresses made with bonnell spring units are: good airflow, stability, strength and durability.
